OVERVIEW
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your stay at Cedar Village Motel located at 5415 W Sunset Hwy, Spokane, WA 99224. By booking or staying with us—whether online, by phone, in person, or through a third-party platform—you agree to be bound by these Terms.
These Terms apply to all guests and visitors. Please read them carefully before your stay.
SECTION 1 – GUEST ELIGIBILITY & CHECK-IN
Guests must be at least 21 years of age to check in. A valid government-issued photo ID is required. Reservations made by individuals under 21 will be canceled without refund.
SECTION 2 – RESERVATIONS & BOOKING
Reservations may be made online, by phone, or in person. Third-party bookings (e.g., Booking.com, RoverPass) are subject to their platform’s policies as well as these Terms.
We reserve the right to refuse any reservation or stay for any reason, including disruptive behavior or safety concerns.
SECTION 3 – RATES & PAYMENT
Room rates are subject to change based on season and availability. All rates are quoted in USD and are subject to applicable Washington state sales tax, B&O tax, and local lodging fees.
A $100 cash deposit is required at check-in for incidentals. This deposit will be fully refunded within 5 business days after checkout, provided no damages or additional charges apply.
SECTION 4 – CANCELLATION & NO-SHOW POLICY
Cancellations made 48 hours or more before check-in receive a full refund.
Cancellations within 48 hours or no-shows will be charged for the first night’s stay.
Early departures are charged for the full reserved stay unless approved.
SECTION 5 – LENGTH OF STAY & OCCUPANCY
Stays under 30 consecutive days are considered transient lodging under WAC 458-20-166.
Guests staying 30 or more days may be classified as nontransient tenants. To avoid tenancy rights, we reserve the right to issue a 7-day notice to vacate at any time.
Maximum occupancy is 2 guests per room unless approved. Unauthorized guests may result in immediate eviction.
SECTION 6 – PROPERTY DAMAGE & LIABILITY
Guests are responsible for any damage beyond normal wear and tear. The $100 deposit may be used to cover repairs.
Under RCW 19.48.070, our liability for loss or damage to guest property is limited to:
$150 for trunks or traveling bags
$50 for suitcases
$50 for clothing and personal items
This applies unless loss is due to gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
We recommend using in-room safes for valuables.
SECTION 7 – PROHIBITED CONDUCT
Guests may not:
Engage in illegal activities
Disturb other guests or staff
Smoke in non-smoking units
Bring hazardous materials
Operate loud music or parties
Violate city noise ordinances
Violations may result in immediate eviction without refund.
SECTION 8 – USE OF FACILITIES
All guests may use common areas (parking, restrooms, laundry) responsibly. Misuse may result in restricted access or eviction.
SECTION 9 – THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
We may provide access to third-party services (e.g., shuttle, local tours). We are not responsible for their actions, accuracy, or safety. Guests assume all risk.
SECTION 10 – DISCLAIMERS
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
Descriptions and photos on our website are for general information and may not reflect exact room conditions.
We are not liable for delays, weather, or events beyond our control.
SECTION 11 – INDEMNIFICATION
Guests agree to hold harmless Cedar Village Motel, its owners, and staff from any claims arising from their stay, except those due to our gross negligence.
SECTION 12 – TERMINATION OF STAY
We may terminate a guest’s stay at any time for violating these Terms, safety concerns, or disruptive behavior. No refunds will be issued.
SECTION 13 – GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Any disputes shall be resolved in Spokane County courts.
SECTION 14 – CHANGES TO TERMS
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The current version is posted on our website.
